The Richmond Sockeyes have defeated the Grandview Steelers in game two of the first round by a 5-0 score. Matt Bissett scored the game winning goal midway through the first period and he picked up another goal in the second period. AP Troy Kaczynski from the Juvenile A team had a fantastic game picking up a goal and an assists and was a force all night. Kurt Russell picked up the shutout with a 29 save performance. Game three goes Sunday at 4:00 at the Burnaby Winter Club.
Bissett gets a great pass from Dominic Centis and scores on the breakaway.
Troy Kaczynski sets Cole Plotnikoff with a nice feed and Richmond takes a 2-0 lead.
A great setup and planned execution on this goal from the Sockeyes as Nicolas Patey finishes it off.
Matthew Bissetts second of the evening for a 4-0 lead.
Kaczynski barely squeaks one past the Grandview goalie to put the Sockeyes up 5-0.
