Beginning with that Delta game, this is the toughest stretch in the calendar for the Sockeyes. February 2nd, they faced a surging North Vancouver Wolf Pack who currently boast the longest winning streak in the PJHL. After holding a brief third period lead seven minutes in, North Vancouver would tie it, before Marcus Houck sealed the winner on a 5 on 3 power play.
The second of five games came Friday night. The Sockeyes enjoyed another third period lead before giving it up with only 3 minutes left. Colten Cowden would put home the winner in overtime clinching the Harold Brittain Conference for the Pilots.
The Tom Shaw Conference is anything but clinched for the Richmond Sockeyes with their latest pair of skids. Saturday, the club travels to the Richmond Olympic Oval to face the Aldergrove Kodiaks who sport the third best second half record in the PJHL. Things don't get easier as the Sockeyes travel on Tuesday for what could potentially be a game for the Tom Shaw. Delta will get their final test in the regular season against their Tom Shaw rivals with the chance to gain a valuable two points.
